Fine, but what is Inverted Soapbox?
Tim writes here (right here, in the web space you are reading with your face) about wandering across the desert of print journalism, stumbling by the decaying carcasses of newspapers, trying to wring water out of a journalism degree (from here).
Inverted Soapbox is a placeholder where Tim writes about exploring Brooklyn, adventures in subletting, observations on the city from a journalist’s eye, and, most of all, finding out how to make it as a writer in the digital age. Ha ha, very clever. I looked at the Journalism program there. Yup, I am choosing to ignore the “decaying carcasses” and am preparing to earn a Masters in Journalism.
My theory is that the media world will always require writers and editors… in some shape or form. **crosses fingers**
